Two Dimensional Earth

Reaching the end of the term already - YAY! - but then it means that I should rush and finish my final project which is a group project. The lecturer asked us to make an A0-sized art piece using techniques we learnt from week 1 until now.
So basically my group consist of :
- Erny
- Jiahui
- Weidong
- Me (of course)

We're bringing the sexy back

After discussing for quite a long time, we finally came up with an idea to make some sort of protest art (sounds cool?) along with this artpiece.

So basically we decided to put a globe in the middle of our A0 with 4 buildings or monuments which are well-known and symbolized their countries. We chose Singapore with Merlion, Indonesia with Tugu Monas, Malaysia and its Petronas, also United Kingdom with its Big Ben. Based on the research that my group have done, those 3 countries (exluding Singapore) have the closest connection to Singapore and each other. As for the globe part, we dicided to use typography and paper collages to fill it up.

Process of making the globe part
It consists of the words we use to "protest"

Final result TADAAA!

Everything was perfect. Perfectly finished UNTIL the next day during the 2D fundamentals class.
So this is what happened during the class...

"Cher (teacher), we finisihed the group project already!"
"Really? Let me see."

Teacher saw the A0

"This is good already (blablabla) BUT I DON'T THINK THE PAPER COLLAGE IS BLABLABLA.

Summary : She basically asked us to redo the globe part.
