Agatha Christie

Agatha Christie is one of the most well-known mystery novel writer, also one of my favorite. Dame Agatha Mary Clarissa Christie (born Miller; 15 September 1890 – 12 January 1976) was an English ccrime writer of novels, short stories, and plays. She also wrote six romances under the name Mary Westmacott, but she is best remembered for the 66 detective novels and 14 short story collections she wrote under her own name, most of which revolve around the investigations of such characters, for example Hercule Poirot and Miss Marple.
Born to a wealthy upper-middle-class family in Torquay, Christie served in a hospital during World War I, before marrying and starting a family in London. Although initially unsuccessful at getting her work published, in 1920, a press published her novel The Mysterious Affairs at Styles, featuring the character of Hercule Poirot. This launched her literary career.

Christie's stage play The Mousetrap holds the record for the longest initial run: it opened at the Ambassadors Theatre in London on 25 November 1952 and as of 2012 is still running after more than 25,000 performances. For information, The Mousetrap is going to be held on Jubilee Hall, Singapore on Oct 4-Oct 13 2013 and I am going to attend it on Oct 13 2013. *yay me*

I personally loveeeeeeeees reading mystery and detectives novel which is why I always adore Agatha Christie's novel, especially the one with Hercule Poirot in it. My all-time-favorites are The A.B.C Murders, And Then There Were None, Hickory Dickory Dock, and At Bertram's Hotel.
Poor thing I only brought one with me to Singapore :(
