From Milo Fudge Cake to Salted Butterscotch

Singapore had turned to a sauna for the past few days. It is super hot out there! Trying to reach home as fast as possible when suddenly I walked past a cute little ice cream shop called Merely Ice Cream. Little birds told me that it is quite famous around the area for its unusual flavours and insteresting interior design so guess what? I went in there X)

One of its flavour and the key ingredients

They also serve coffees and teas AND alcoholic stuffs

Used wooden spoon stall

The flavours of the ice cream that are served everyday are different. I went there on July 29, 2013 and they were serving :
  1. Salted Butterscotch
  2. Dark Chocolate
  3. Banana Walnut
  4. Peanut Butter
  5. Oreo Milk
  6. Earl Grey
  7. Strawberry
  8. Coconut
  9. Breakfast Cereal
  10. Zesty Lemon
  11. Milo Fudge Cake
  12. Peppermint Mocha
  13. Madagascar Vanilla
  14. Gula Pandan
  15. Strawberry

My ice cream choice goes to......MILO FUDGE CAKE

On the table: some doodles and artworks
layered by a layer of thick glass

Anyway, my choice of ice cream (Milo Fudge Cake) tasted like HEAVEEEEEEN <3 It has that chocolate milk feels plus cake crumbles. The price also isn't that expensive, very affordable. One scoop of ice cream in a (super delicious) cone cost about $3.30. Highly recommended for those who would love to try some unique-flavoured ice cream.

TED - Inspirational

Last Monday during the Creative Thinking period, I was shown an inspirational video called TED (no, it's not TED the movie with a living teddy bear). It showed a conference, an inspirational talk by a man, talking about being creative and how having a creative mind makes everything easier. He invited the audience to "play" with him and at the end of each "games" he did a short explanation about each of them. It was a quite fun 28 minutes video. Very enjoyable :-)

First Post - First Week First Year at NAFA

First week, first day, first blog, and first blog post! YAY! Greetings to whoever-reading-this-post :) After quite a long wait I am finally an official NAFA (Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts) student. I am placed in VA1C (Visual Arts 1C) along with other courses' students with Ms. Joey as the lecturer-in-charge. YAY AGAIN! Knowing that people in 1C are all super friendly made me feel soooo relieved since I have always imagined the awkward situation we had to faced on the first day of class but anyway with this kind of lively and cozy atmosphere emitted, I think I will really enjoy this college years here in NAFA :)

How (messy) my table looks like everyday

Blue sky outside the window....inspirational

In one week, there are 5 different classes (and modules) we need to attend such as:
  1. Creative Thinking
  2. Introduction to Visual Arts
  3. 2D Fundamentals
  4. Drawing Fundamentals
  5. 3D Fundamentals
Here are some sneak peeks on what's going on at some of those classes :)

Slideshow about our 2D Fundamentals' group project

Drawing Fundamentals : Some examples of artworks

Eventhough it's still week 1, but I was given assignments already :( Here's one of it that I am currently working on :)

Forgive my weird hand gesture lol and yes, I am drawing
the lines using micropen one by one

Although it's kind of tiring, but I regret nothing being a NAFA student :) I mean, I am lucky enough to be accepted here so why should I complain? I love arts and I believe that I am on the right path to improve and be better (despite the fact that the homeworks are a lot :p)
